Our company is a specialist in field of magnetic separation

We develop, produce and apply devices for magnetic separation. Our magnetic separators are designed and manufactured exactly in a made-to-measure way as per your needs.

Automated plastic waste sorting line

Automated plastic waste sorting line

The automated plastic waste sorting line is designed for a capacity of 1,500 kg/hour and is used to treat waste material kept in “yellow bins”, i.e. PET bottles, aluminum and iron cans.

At first, the ferromagnetic cans are sorted by means of an overband magnet suspended above the conveyor. To achieve maximum separation efficiency, we included into the sorting line a magnetic pulley fitted with very strong neodymium magnets. The combination of an overband magnet with a magnetic pulley integrated into the belt conveyor is ideal for achieving the highest magnetic separation efficiency. Thanks to this, the iron cans can be reliably removed.

The material then proceeds to the vibrating feeder that loosens and uniformly spreads the material on the belt conveyor before its processing by an ECS-C eddy current separator with a concentric rare earth rotor. This safely separates aluminum cans from PET bottles.

Finally, the PET bottles are sorted by a NIR spectrophotometer.

The individual types of the sorted materials are pressed.

  • The separation line capacity: 1.5 t/h
  • Guaranteed separation efficiency: 95 %.

Output

The treated waste is sorted into the following material fractions:

  • 3D PET bottles
  • Aluminum cans
  • Iron cans

The sorting line consists of the following equipment:

  1. More than 130 m long conveying system (composed of straight, angular and inclined conveyors)
  2. DND-AC Ms4 F overband magnet
  3. MV 204 N 1280 magnetic pulley fitted with very strong neodymium magnets
  4. Vibrating feeder
  5. Non-ferrous metal separator - ECS-C 1500 RAM eddy current separator with a concentric rare earth rotor – for conveyor belts of 1,500 mm width
  6. NIR spectrophotometer
  7. Crushers
  8. Complex control system with PLC outputs directly on the sorting line

This line is designed for sorting waste from yellow bins — PET bottles, aluminium and steel cans — at a capacity of 1,500 kg/h. It is chosen where the volume of material to be processed does not justify the acquisition of a larger line; for higher capacities (4.5–5 t/h) or for input mixes that also contain organics, paper and light fraction, we recommend other lines from our range.

The line is designed for a capacity of 1,500 kg of material per hour. The guaranteed separation efficiency is 95 %.

The DND-AC Ms4 F self-cleaning magnetic plate captures ferromagnetic cans by suspension above the conveyor belt; the MV 204 N 1280 magnetic drum with very powerful neodymium magnets is integrated directly into the conveyor and captures any residues the plate may have missed. This combination of two separation stages is the key to maximum efficiency in removing steel cans from the material stream.

After the vibrating conveyor distributes the material evenly, it is processed by the ECS–C 1500 RAM eddy-current separator with a centrically mounted rotor for a belt width of 1,500 mm. This eddy-current separator reliably ejects aluminium cans from the PET bottle stream.

The separated PET bottles are sorted by a NIR spectrophotometer, which identifies the material composition and colour of each bottle and directs it to the appropriate fraction. The individual output fractions — 3D PET bottles, aluminium cans and steel cans — are then baled.

The line is equipped with a comprehensive control system with PLC outputs installed directly on the line. The conveyor systems — straight, angled and inclined conveyors — form the backbone of the line, with a total length of over 130 metres.

Every sorting line is designed and manufactured to order according to the specific type of material, its granulometry and the required capacity. We also supply lines for sorting municipal waste, plastic waste, glass and other materials — the equipment configuration is always tailored to the specific application.

The delivery covers the entire process — from site survey, design and custom manufacture through installation, commissioning and operator training to authorised service for the full service life of the equipment. We provide a warranty of up to 10 years on magnetic components; prior to ordering we offer free testing of your material with a guaranteed turnaround of three days.
