In the production of automotive parts—specifically engine cylinder crankcases—the quality of the wash medium plays a crucial role. During washing, foundry sludge and metal particles are released and, together with the liquid, return to the circulation loop. If these contaminants are not removed effectively, it quickly leads to clogging of bag filters, frequent replacements, and unnecessary operating costs.

To solve this issue, a MSP-S 125 N OCTOPUS magnetic filter was installed in the piping system upstream of the bag filters, designed for DN 125 pressure piping and liquid mixtures.

The MSP-S 125 N OCTOPUS magnetic filter was placed directly into the circulation pipe of the cleaning unit, i.e. upstream of the bag filters. Its task is to capture ferromagnetic particles and foundry sludge before they load the downstream filtration stages.
