Magnetic filter for professional magnetic filtration of liquids
Magnetic filter removes ferromagnetic particles from the material flow – from liquids, emulsions, oils, and bulk materials. It protects equipment from damage, ensures product purity, and helps meet hygiene standards.
Magnetic filters are used in the food industry, engineering, the chemical industry, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and many other sectors. If you are looking for an industrial filter with a magnet or a magnetic separation filter, you are in the right place.

WHAT IS A MAGNETIC FILTER?
Magnetic filter is a device designed to remove ferromagnetic particles from the material flow. The magnetic field captures metal impurities directly at the processing point without restricting the flow or passage of material.
Magnetic filters are used wherever material passes through a production process and may contain metal impurities from machine wear, corrosion, or raw material contamination. The captured particles gradually accumulate on the magnetic surface and are removed manually or automatically.
Magnetic filters are used for two basic types of materials
- Liquids, emulsions, and suspensions
The filter is installed directly in the pipeline and captures metal impurities from the flowing medium - Bulk materials, powders, and granulates
The filter is installed in a hopper, chute, or pipeline and captures metal impurities
In practice, you may also come across the terms
- inline magnetic filter
- liquid magnetic separator
- ferromagnetic particle filter
- magnetic filtration of liquids
All of them refer to the same principle – using a magnetic field to remove metal impurities from liquid material.
HOW DOES MAGNETIC FILTRATION WORK?
Magnetic filtration – also referred to in practice as magnetic separation – works on the principle of using magnetic force to capture and remove ferromagnetic impurities. It is a key process for protecting production equipment and ensuring maximum purity of final products.
The efficiency of a magnetic filter depends directly on the intensity of the magnetic field. Standard ferrite magnets capture coarser metal impurities, but they are not sufficient for fine particles from machine wear – commonly in the range of units to tens of micrometres. For their reliable capture, high-performance NdFeB neodymium magnets are essential, as they achieve high magnetic induction and capture metal particles from as little as 1 micron.
HOW IS A MAGNETIC FILTER CLEANED?
Manual cleaning
At regular intervals, the operator removes the magnetic core from the filter and wipes or rinses off the captured ferromagnetic particles. A magnetic filter with manual cleaning is suitable for operations with a lower contamination frequency or for lower flow rates and smaller material volumes.
Automatic cleaning
A magnetic filter with automatic cleaning operates without operator intervention. The magnetic core is automatically extended at a set interval, the captured ferromagnetic particles are removed, and the filter returns to its operating position. Production continues without interruption. This type of magnetic filter is intended for operations with higher or irregular contamination and for fully automated production lines.

FAQ - MAGNETIC FILTER
The right magnetic filter is selected according to several parameters: medium type, pipeline diameter, flow rate, operating pressure, temperature, expected contamination level... There is no universal solution – that is why we always design magnetic filters specifically for each application.
Magnetic filters capture metal particles from as little as 1 micron. Such fine impurities are invisible to the naked eye, but they can cause serious problems – product contamination, pump wear, or machine failures.
We standardly manufacture magnetic filters for connection diameters from 20 to 150 mm. The connection method – flange, threaded fitting, or special connector – is adapted to the customer’s requirements. Non-standard diameters are also available on request.
Yes. Magnetic filters are made of food-grade stainless steel and designed in accordance with HACCP and IFS standards.
Yes. Magnetic filters with automatic cleaning can be fully integrated into the control system of an automated production line.
We test your material on our magnetic filters free of charge. We deliver the results within 3 working days. Contact us – we will visit you or send you instructions for sending a sample.
The price depends on the pipeline diameter, the degree of automation, the material design, and any custom modifications. Send a non-binding inquiry – we will prepare an offer within 24 hours.
It depends on the contamination level of the material. For manual cleaning, the interval is determined individually – from several hours to several days. Filters with automatic cleaning do not require the interval to be set manually.
