EasySCOPE x-ray inspection system serves for the final inspection of packed goods.
This X-ray scanner is the ideal system for ensuring the highest quality of the packed products. It is usually used in the food industry.
The main difference (compared to a metal detector) is the fact that the easySCOPE X-ray machine allows the detection of not only metallic but also of non-metallic foreign bodies, such as glass, plastics or stone. If these dangerous contaminants are contained in the final product, the application of an industrial X-ray inspection system is the only way how to detect them. Standards for quality control of the final product in the food industry grow ever stricter, so the X-ray inspection systems have become indispensable.
The use of the easySCOPE X-ray provides maximum reliability and safety. At the same time, it saves money thanks to the excellent price/performance ratio.
Working principle
Electromagnetic waves are emitted by a generator and penetrate the product. On the opposite side, the non-absorbed radiation is picked up by the receiver diodes. Foreign body recognition is performed by evaluating the difference in density of the product and the contaminant. Especially in the case of aluminum-packed or other highly conductive products, the recognition accuracy is much better than the results achieved e. g. by the application of standard metal detectors.
High product safety
The X-ray technology can detect not only metallic but also non-metallic foreign bodies (glass, stone, plastics etc.), what results in the maximum safety and quality of the final product. It is also possible to inspect even products in metalized foil packaging. And for example the locking clips can be excluded from detection, but may be kept monitored at the same time.
Minimum maintenance required
To minimize maintenance costs, components such as the X-ray generator and the X-ray receiver are easily accessible from the front.

A metal detector only captures metallic contaminants, whereas the easySCOPE X-ray inspection system also detects non-metallic contaminants – glass, plastics and stones. If you pack products at risk of glass or other non-metallic contamination, X-ray inspection is the only reliable detection method. With increasingly strict food industry standards, the use of X-ray inspection is becoming a necessity.
The X-ray detects both metallic and non-metallic contaminants – specifically glass, plastics, stones and metals of all kinds, including aluminium and stainless steel. The principle is based on evaluating the density difference between the product and the contaminant. For aluminium packaging or highly conductive products, detection accuracy is several times higher than with a conventional metal detector.
Yes. The easySCOPE X-ray inspection system can inspect products packed in metallised film where a metal detector would fail. You can also configure the clip masking function – locking clips are excluded from detection while the system continues to monitor and verify their presence.
The generator operates at max. 60 kV and 120 W, radiation emission is max. 0.5 mSv/h, maximum passage height is 120 mm, belt width 250 mm and conveyor speed up to 1.2 m/s. The housing is made of stainless steel 1.4301, with IP 55 protection as standard. Power consumption is max. 500 W (with fan) or max. 750 W (with air conditioning).
We supply easySCOPE in two basic versions (190 and 238) that differ in the dimensions of the passage opening. Optional features include a rejection system (pusher or air jets), lockable contaminant box, checkweighing, increased temperature resistance up to +45 °C, IP 65 protection or remote access via mesuNET. Conveyor length and height are configurable from 800 mm and 650 mm respectively.
Operation takes place via a 15" touch display with an industrial PC running Windows 10 – standard software and user manual are included in the delivery. The X-ray generator and receiver are easily accessible from the front, minimising downtime during servicing. The optional mesuNET module can be used for remote diagnostics and system access.
