The QUICKTRON 03 R is equipped with a single high-speed rejection flap that reliably separates metals from standard bulk materials such as granules, regrind and crushed material. The QUICKTRON 03 E, by contrast, features a double rejection flap that prevents pipe blockages — making it the right choice exclusively for lightweight film flakes, where a single flap cannot guarantee smooth flow. The detector is designed for bulk materials conveyed by gravity through pipelines — most commonly plastic granules, regrind, flakes and crushed material in the plastics and recycling industry, as well as other bulk materials in chemical, rubber or engineering operations. The detector protects downstream machinery (injection moulding machines, extruders) from damage caused by metal contaminants and helps maintain the quality of the final product.

Sensitivity depends primarily on the aperture diameter — the smaller the diameter, the higher the sensitivity. For the QUICKTRON 03 R with the smallest aperture of DN 30 mm, we can detect an Fe sphere from 0.5 mm; for the largest aperture of DN 200 mm, the minimum detectable size is 1.75 mm. Material flow rate, density, temperature and moisture content also affect sensitivity — we therefore recommend verifying parameters with a free test on your specific material.

We supply aperture diameters from DN 30 to DN 200 mm, with throughput capacity ranging from 1,000 (DN 30) to 44,800 litres per hour (DN 200). If the standard dimensions do not suit your operation, we will manufacture the detector to your specifications with a different diameter, height or frame configuration.

The AMD 03 control unit provides simple operation, visual signalling of detection and faults, suppression of conveyor vibration effects and continuous balancing. Optional accessories include an air compressor or compressed air tank, warning devices (beacon, buzzer), monitoring of air pressure and flap position, and a rejection cycle counter. We will adjust the cable length to suit the requirements of your specific installation.
