The PDK COMPLETE is a complete metal detection and cleaning system designed to detect metal contaminants in bulk materials dispensed from BIG-BAGs or drums. Unlike standalone gravity metal detectors, it includes all components required for independent operation — a QUICKTRON 03 R metal detector, an adjustable vibrating feeder, a transport and dosing unit, a rejection unit, and a suction pipeline. The system requires no additional equipment and is ready for immediate deployment.
The system consists of five key components: the QUICKTRON 03 R metal detector performs the detection itself, the adjustable vibrating feeder regulates material dosing, the transport and dosing unit draws material from the BIG-BAG or drum, the rejection unit diverts contaminated portions, and the suction pipeline enables independent operation without connection to an existing production line. All components are coordinated and delivered as one standardised unit.
The system is standardised for dispensing bulk materials from BIG-BAGs or drums — typically granulate, regranulate, regrind, or powders. The adjustable vibrating feeder allows smooth regulation of material flow to suit the needs of the specific production environment. For non-standard container types or materials, we recommend specifying your requirements when requesting a quote.
Sensitivity depends on the aperture diameter — the smaller the diameter, the higher the sensitivity. At the smallest aperture of DN 30 mm, the QUICKTRON 03 R detects a steel ball from 0.5 mm; at the largest standard aperture of DN 200 mm, the sensitivity is 1.75 mm (Fe). Material speed, density, temperature, and moisture also influence the result — we verify the exact sensitivity for your material with a free test, with a guaranteed result within three days.
The QUICKTRON 03 R at the core of the system is available in aperture diameters from DN 30 to DN 200 mm. The corresponding throughput capacities range from 1,000 litres per hour (DN 30) to 44,800 litres per hour (DN 200). We select the right aperture diameter together with you based on your material flow and required sensitivity.
Material is drawn from the BIG-BAG or drum by the transport unit and fed by the vibrating feeder into the detection coil of the QUICKTRON 03 R. When a metal contaminant is detected, the rejection flap opens automatically and diverts the contaminated portion into the reject bin. The entire cycle runs fully automatically without operator intervention, and the AMD 03 control unit records every rejection event.
Yes — like all gravity metal detectors in the SOLLAU range, the PDK COMPLETE can be supplied in an ATEX version for use in explosive atmospheres. Please specify the required ATEX zone and category when requesting a quote. Non-standard aperture diameters, frame heights, or other modifications for a specific production environment can be manufactured to order according to your requirements.
The standard delivery includes the QUICKTRON 03 R detection head, the AMD 03 control unit, the transport and dosing unit with vibrating feeder, the rejection unit, the suction pipeline, connecting cables, and a user manual. We manage the entire project from start to finish — we visit, measure, manufacture to order, install, commission, and train the operators. Authorised warranty and post-warranty service is also included.
